The Edmond North Girls Golf team only led Jenks and Edmond Memorial by a single stroke leading into the final round of the 2019 State Golf Championships on Thursday at Earlywine Golf Club in Oklahoma City. The pressure to defend their 2018 state title might have gotten to the Lady Huskies in the first round, but they showed up on day 2 and truly earned their 2nd state championship in as many years.

"That's the best we've played all year," said Head Coach Brock Van Cleave abut the Lady Huskies 2nd round performance. Jenks and Edmond North went stroke for stroke for most of the 2nd day of competition, with North eventually winning by 7 strokes.

Junior Emily Miller took 3rd place overall, shooting 150 for the tournament. Seinor Grace Griggs had a huge 2nd round posting a 72, and took 4th place overall with 152. Senior Claire Ledbetter also placed in the top 10. Ledbetter tied for 9th, shooting a 156.
